The Mobile Passport Control (MPC) allows passengers to submit their customs declaration through their phones. A QR code is then sent to them, which they have to present with their passport to a CBP officer.

The customs and immigration processes are then completed. This service is only for US citizens with a valid US passport, Canadian citizens with a valid Canadian passport and B1 or B2 visa status.

This innovation has for goal to improve as much as possible arrivals experience for travelers (queuing time etc.).
